Doors of the hope

EN English DE Deutsch

See, I stand at the door and knock. If someone hears my voice and opens the door, I will go in and have the sacrament with him and he with me. Revelation 3,20 (LUT)

Only a few more days, then it will be Christmas Eve. Thousands of children’s hearts are waiting full of expectation. It all seems to take so long.

24 days in the advent calendar shortened the time. One door after the other could be opened in the Christmas calendar. – The result were cute little surprises that gave hope for the expected evening with the special present.

Doors of the hope opens

In retrospect, it is interesting to read how God prepared this wonderful event. Mary is chosen to give birth to the King of Eternity. She was allowed to be his mother. Joseph receives instruction in a dream on how to behave. The wise men from the Orient were led through the star. The shepherds experience a special encounter with the heavenly hosts.

But where is space?

It would have been a small thing for God to open the gates and doors of palaces and mansions to receive Jesus with dignity. But no, the Son of God becomes man and joins the thousands for whom there is „no room“ in the inn.

Many are not even allowed to see the light of day. They are undesirable and rejected. There is no place for them to live.

But Jesus was accepted by Mary, although it also meant a great sacrifice for her. She was willing and ready to do what she could.

God rewarded her abundantly; she was allowed to receive the prince of life whom God had appointed to save people. There are many sad things in the world – even today. But the fact remains: „The Prince of Peace has come“.

Have we opened our hearts to him so that he can move in? He wants to be our personal Prince of Peace!

Song Number 176 Pfingstjubel

1.) Do you have no room for Jesus? See, He wants to be your Savior! Listen, he’s knocking on your door! Sinner don’t you let him in?

Chorus: Who wants to consecrate themselves entirely to Jesus? Who opens the door of the heart? Soul, you will never regret it, let him in, he gives himself to you!

4.) Surrender everything to Jesus, because the time of grace is very fast; if the hour of judgment came, the judgment would be difficult for you!

Lied Nr. 176 Pfingstjubel

1.) Hast du keinen Raum für Jesus? Sieh, Er will dein Heiland sein! Horch, er klopft an deiner Türe! Sünder, lässt du Ihn nicht ein?

Chorus: Wer will ganz sich Jesu weihen?
